How to be Assertive

This course encourages individuals who occasionally feel submissive or aggressive to use more assertive behaviour. It looks at how we can communicate positively with people, looking towards win-win situations, whilst standing up for their ideas but showing respect for others.
Targeted at anyone who wishes to be more assertive in their communication and relationships with others and who want to better handle aggression or submissive behaviour from others.
Course Objectives / Benefits
This course is about being more effective, positive and competent in the workplace, learning to be specific, stay relevant and achieve positive outcomes. It will help you make a plan for realistic change and enable you to realise the benefits of assertive behaviour. You will learn to say ‘no’ effectively, give and receive criticism and recognise and deal with fear.
