An Introduction to Word 97/2000
Overview / who should attend and why?
This course is suitable for those people who have little or no knowledge of Microsoft Word or experience in using a word processing application.
No previous experience in using Word or any other word processing application is required in this introductory programme. It is assumed, however, that you have:
- Knowledge of PC fundamentals
Experience in working within the Microsoft Windows environment
A reasonable degree of keyboard proficiency
Experience in using a mouse

The primary objective of the programme is to present the basic operations of Microsoft Word.
After participating in this programme, you will be able to:
- Create, save and print a document
- Perform editing operations, such as inserting, deleting, moving and copying text
- Perform basic formatting operations, such as applying attributes and a new font/font size to text, resetting margins, tab stops, line spacing and text alignment
- Create and format a Word table
