Overview of Quality Function Deployment (QFD)

Quality Function Deployment (QFD) is a highly underutilized structured team based approach used to translate customer requirements (voice of the customer) into design and product features. It is used to dramatically reduce the time to market of products or services while developing products and services which incorporate the voice of the customer making them more effective in the market place. Major automotive companies, banks and service providers use QFD to understand and develop products and services quickly. This course is ideal for designers, engineers, business improvement personnel or managers and covers the theory of QFD and how to run effective sessions. It also utilises real examples to practise and understand the concepts.
