This introductory course to Microsoft Excel is designed for complete beginners, or those who are self taught. It covers tips to achieve results quickly and is great as a refresher for anybody who has not used the tool in a while or wishes to learn easier ways to do tasks.
- To provide a structured approach to using the basics of the program
- To explain the commonly used features in a step- by-step manner
- To enable the delegate to learn by doing and through asking questions to solve simple issues
- The course is designed to enable the delegate to work through a number of exercises. It is flexible enough so that questions and examples can be worked through during the day. The course covers the following basic activities.
- Introduction to the course
- Excel and how to use the menus – getting started
- Using the help function
- Navigating through a worksheet – entering and editing data
- Creating, saving and printing worksheets
- Changing the look of a worksheet and editing
- Calculations with formulas
- Manipulating data, formatting
- Simple tips a techniques to perform task quickly
- Introduction to graphs
