An Introduction to PowerPoint 

Overview / who should attend and why?

Our introductory course for PowerPoint is designed to suit anybody who would like to learn to create presentations using any version of PowerPoint.  The course is suitable for those with very little or no prior experience of PowerPoint.  When you book the course just tell us what version of PowerPoint you use and we will provide training in that version.

Course Objectives

• You will be able to build a presentation from scratch
• Understand how to create presentation using templates and views
• You will be able to put in graphics, clip art and animation in your presentations
• Understand how to print presentation, handouts etc
• You will be confident to build presentation which will make you look professional

Course Content

• Introduction and admin
• Overview of PowerPoint features
• Using PowerPoint help
• Creating a new presentation using templates
• Slide layouts and outlines
• Using bullets & numbers
• Spell check
• Using design templates
• Inserting images (& clipart)
• Inserting web links
• Running the slide show (forward, backward, jump to slide, escape)
• Printing - producing handouts and speakers notes
• Simple assessment of learning

Costs / Duration and Location

• The cost of this training course is £250 per day
• The duration is one day 9:00 till 16:00
• Location will be determined by requests
