Recent studies have shown that the root cause of most company's problems can be laid at the hands of, their management. A study by the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development recently suggested that 2/3rds of managers were poorly trained and inefficient in their roles. A 2003 survey carried out by Personnel Today revealed that, out of 700 businesses polled, two thirds had real concerns over their managers' effectiveness.

Our own research has shown that most managers rate themselves at just 65 - 75% effective and their staff think they are performing at a figure substantially lower.
