| Overview - Who should attend and why |
This course is designed for people who want to become certified in
Lean Thinking and the improvement tools and techniques associated with
Lean. This course is made up of a number of modules covering a
whole range of Lean tools and techniques. To obtain the certificate
the student must complete the entire course and provide evidence of
the completion of a number of projects to demonstrate the use of the
tools and techniques. The course is ideal for managers in organisations
who wish to improve their company's performance and for consultants
wishing to improve their client organisations. The course is designed
to explain the theory of Lean tools and techniques but also to provide
practical hands on experience with feedback to help the attendee's organisation
to improve. If the attendee completes the projects then the savings
possible will pay for the course ten times over.
- To provide the attendee with a certificate in Lean Thinking which will demonstrate that they are both technically and practically competent in Lean Thinking tools and techniques
- To enable attendees to practise the tools and techniques discussed
- To demonstrate to other organisations that the attendee is qualified in Lean Thinking

The program is made up of a number of modules, which are outlined below. The attendee must also conduct a minimum of 2 projects to practice the tools and techniques and to demonstrate saving for their company. If possible some modules will be run on client sites to enable more practical examples to be carried out. Each module last 2 or 3 days.

- Presentation of final projects
- The company will have a certified and effective Lean
Thinking expert to help them improve
- The company will see an improvement in performance and saving
- At least two projects will have been completed on the client site
- The company will have an employee who is capable of running teams,
conducting diagnostics and implementing Lean Thinking
- The attendee will have had the ability to visit and work with other organisations.
- The attendee will be qualified in Lean Thinking
