Barry Bailey is a qualified and well experienced Senior Manager with extensive Executive level service within blue-chip, global Corporations. He won Business Diplomas from Ashridge and the London Business School, a Diploma in Management with the Open University (MBA Course) and a Fellowship with the Institute of Sales and Marketing Management (ISMM). This led him into Divisional General Management within 3M where he worked from 1982 – 2004 where he held numerous positions – the last 11 years as Divisional General Manager in both, the Document Imaging Business and the Electronics Division in the UK Region with an additional responsibility for some specific European Business Channels.
As a trained Six Sigma Practitioner, he has introduced and deployed Six Sigma across ALL of the business disciplines within 3M since 1999. From manufacturing, through all commercial functions – finance, sales, marketing, CRM - to joint Black Belt projects with customers. His enthusiasm for Six Sigma ensured that it became a “way of life” and a “DNA change” that transformed the global 3M business.
He was responsible for 4 Black Belts and over 50 Green belts as he accelerated the Six Sigma roll out across the European Division by simultaneously managing almost 100 Green or Black Belt projects – Championing over 50% of the projects personally.
The business results were outstanding and he has been a strong supporter, an early adopter and General Practitioner of Six Sigma methodology for the last 5 years.
