Jim Lacy is a trained and experienced change project manager helping clients deliver sustainable improvements through Lean & Six Sigma process redesign supported by training and coaching. Jim enjoys challenging prospects and helping others to achieve. A background and training in manufacturing engineering combined with continuous improvement skills, and project management capability has proven a successful mix with major blue chip clients implementing strategy. 

Jim, an ex-Lucas apprentice, has spent 12 years in high precision automotive manufacturing environments as a process engineer and project manager before entering in consultancy.

As a senior consultant and project manager with Celerant Consulting Jim was successful at operational analysis, project design & implementing change improvement programmes in challenging operational environments with demanding clients.
Since June 2004 Jim has operated an independent consultant providing process leadership, project management, training and coaching services to SME’s and multi nationals a-like.

CORE SKILLS:-
During his consulting experience Jim has become experienced and practised with many of the recognised Lean enterprise, supply chain and Six Sigma tools such as 5S, Failure Modes Effects Analysis (FMEA), Shainin, Design of Experiments (DOE), Single Minute Exchange of Dies (SMED), Poke Yoke, Auditing, Cycle time compression, Quality screening, Pareto, Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE), Root cause problem solving (Ishikawa & 5 whys), Systems thinking, Risk Based Maintenance (RBM) & (TPM), and is trained to Black Belt level in Six Sigma.

As part of his engagements Jim has a proven ability in team working, leadership development, influencing and changing behaviours combining the use of ‘soft’ and ‘hard’ skills driven by management systems.
